Some words to share with you..
We, On behalf of thousand migrants, of IMA (IMA Research Foundation); a small committee whom are proud to introduce our self as returnee migrant workers. At the advent of life and tender age, we went Malaysia for working with high hope for bringing change in our family but the dream never comes true rather lost our last hope.
About 7 months of our staying in Malaysia, We had the toughest time in a trap by sending country agent and receiving country agent. Bangladesh agent sent us to Malaysia with lucid and lucrative offer but as soon as we arrived in Malaysian Air port; was found everything fake and false. There was no scope to escape then. During the stated time, many times we have sold like commodity by the out sourcing company named as P.T.C. Almost everyone was engaged in degraded, dangerous and dirty work.
We had worked without food in the bally, without salary month after month or no health facilities. When this situation had been worsening...at a stage, we were hundreds of migrants took stand against company owner and declared our right for getting salary, food, and shelter. It was the beginning try to get back of our rights which were end through departing from Malaysia to Bangladesh on a win win settlement between the then agitate migrants and Bangladeshi High Commission in Malaysia along with Bangladesh Government.
This success motivated us in working for the welfare and rights of migrants. Later on we formed an organization and took registration. We do feel grateful to all migrants that they have given chance to serve their needs today and tomorrow. |
